Jim Nichols
Co-Founder and Broker/Owner, Jim Nichols, is what we call “old school.” Rarely will you see him without a jacket and tie, unless of course, he’s at a University of Tennessee ballgame.
Having brokered hundreds of closings in his 24 years selling real estate in the Knoxville area, prior to launching Red Door Brokers, Jim was a broker with Remax. As a result of earning membership into the Remax 100% Club, Jim was recognized as being in the top 1% of all Realtors in the United States. He has been inducted into the RE/MAX International Hall of Fame and is a Certified New Home Specialist. Holding a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, Jim’s professional background includes retail management with JCPenney Company, followed by a decade with Lanier Worldwide, where he was District Manager.
Jim has served on the Board of Directors of The Knoxville Area Association of Realtors and as a State Director for the Tennessee Association of Realtors. He has also served as State Chairperson of the Tennessee Association of Realtors Cultural Diversity Committee. Jim currently serves on the Knoxville Area Association of Realtors Member Services Committee, as well as the Boards of Directors of AAA East Tennessee and The Development Corporation of Knox County. He is a Charter Board Member and current member of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership, proud husband, father, grandfather, and member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity Beta Theta Boule.
Jim’s professional experiences have led him to the creation and launch of Red Door Brokers. His #1 priority is to develop a real estate brokerage that represents buyer and seller clients at the highest level, while providing a cutting edge support platform that will allow both experienced and new brokers to reach their maximum career potential.

Tiffany Powell
Co-Founder Tiffany Powell is dedicated to combining her passion for real estate with her love….or rather obsession…of technology and social media to help Realtors at Red Door Brokers stand out in the highly competitive real estate industry.
Having worked as a Realtor in Los Angeles for nearly 5 years, Tiffany has firsthand knowledge of the challenges facing real estate professionals today. Stemming from a natural love of marketing, she uses her creative eye to help Brokers gain exposure for both their listings, and themselves, by integrating social media into their marketing plans.
Prior to pursuing her career in real estate, Tiffany earned her B.A. in Economics from Spelman College. Immediately following, she worked for 5 years as an Industrial Engineer for UPS, developing the skills needed to ensure that Red Door Brokers back-end operations run as efficiently and effectively as possible
